Early in the morning, you will be picked up by our guide for starting a journey through the Highlights that you can find out in the La Fortuna area.
Breathing fresh air is important for our health; therefore, our first place to visit is going to be the Hanging Bridges. The hike is developed in 1.9 miles (3.1 km) well-maintained trails where you can enjoy the rainforests, flora, and fauna. You will go by nine fixed bridges and six suspension bridges; they laid out at a maximum grade of seven degrees, so the hike is almost for anyone.
Secondly, you will be taken to La Fortuna Waterfall. It is 230ft high, one of the highest crystal waterfalls in the north section of Costa Rica. For getting there, you will go down by nice paths and 500 steps; once you are on the waterfall’s base, you can swim or just enjoy the breeze and nature surrounded. Take note that you will be back by the same trails and steps, but you will not spend more than 30 minutes.
Well-deserved and after all this physical effort, you are going to have a delicious typical Costa Rican lunch in La Fortuna downtown. Then, you will have the chance to look around the place.
Finally, with our naturalist and local bilingual guide, you are going to raise your knowledge about the biggest attraction in La Fortuna, the "Arenal Volcano". The hike is for approximately 2 hours, it will take you through old lava and the forest that surrounds the Volcano base, located in the Private Reserve of Lava 1968. This hike demands a medium physical effort, due that most of the paths are made of sedimentary volcanic lava,
At the end of this hike, we will take you back to your hotel, getting there at 6 p.m. approximately.
