The started point is going to be the Arenal Volcano National Park; we will enjoy a medium-difficult level hike for almost 2 hours by trails called “Las Coladas” or “Lava slides”. While you are walking, the guide is going to teach you all related to Volcano history, projects, and Flora and Fauna you can find out on your way.
Do not forget to bring your camera, because, once you are on the top of the hike, from devastated areas by previous eruptions, amazing views to Lake Arenal and secondary forest are possible to be observed.
Right after the unforgettable hike, it is time to take a fresh swim into La Fortuna Waterfall crystal waters. We will drive for no more than 20 minutes to get to the entrance of the trails, and steps, which will take us to the base of this famous overlooking waterfall. We will discover this huge waterfall of 60 meters (197 feet) height, and surrounded by nature. Most important thing is that we can have fun into the natural pool formed in the waterfall’s base. Always with the supervision and advice of your guide, you can immerse and swim or just taking pictures of this beauty.
Difficulties of both hikes together are medium level, and the guide will be with you doing them as the group hiking rhythm. It is important to notice that you will walk through the forest, and the hike down to the waterfall is a short but arduous one, along a staircase carved into the hillside.
Before we take you back to your hotel, you are going to join a delicious typical lunch. You will be back at 6:00 p.m. approximately.
