The Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge is an area of protection of wetlands and wild species considered of international importance to serve as shelter to many migratory species and species in danger of extinction. This place is located just an hour and a half away from La Fortuna, San Carlos, in the north area of Costa Rica. It is no further than 4 miles from Nicaragua´s border.
